The aim of the Indigenous Australian Engineering Schools (IAES) program is to provide an exciting environment for Indigenous students to learn what Engineering is all about and discover how Engineers can benefit and improve our communities, to provide a forum for students to meet engineering role models and gain insights into the opportunities engineering can provide as a career.

During the week-long IAES, students are given the opportunity to meet engineers, participate in design work and other hands-on activities that will test newly acquired engineering skills, visit engineering projects and gain an understanding of the job opportunities that are available within the profession.

The IAES Program is funded by EAA’s Sponsors including engineering, consulting, construction, mining companies, Government agencies, charitable organisations and other entities that see the value of the IAES Program.

Travel to and from the IAES Schools, as well as accommodation, meals and all activities are provided free of charge to the students.
